Who We Are. . .

The purpose of the United States Disabled Anglers organization is to unify fishermen and women with a disability, nationwide. Furthermore, this organizations main purpose is to serve as a "one time stop" resource for any and every thing dealing with adaptive fishing. We want to ease the process for finding the latest adaptive fishing equipment that you, future disabled anglers or recreational therapist may be in search of or are unaware about. In addition, we want our members to share their reviews, both pro and con, of the various adaptive fishing equipment on the market.

Behind the scenes, we our seeking a 501 (c) (3) non-profit status with the goal of helping our members purchase the adaptive fishing equipment that they need in order to become both, active and successful disabled anglers. We all know the hardship that people with disabilities face each day living on fixed incomes and how this leaves very little finances to invest in recreational activities and/or equipment. Based on your income, we hope to be able to match our members up to 50% towards the purchase of their adaptive fishing equipment. This goal however, is dependent upon the support and revenue that we can raise through adaptive fishing equipment manufacturers and the private sector. We also hope to have adaptive fishing equipment donated directly to the United States Disabled Anglers organization from their manufacturers in order for us to loan these items to you on a trial bases so that you will know if the item is right for you before you purchase it. However, we will have to secure a refundable deposit from you that assures we receive the loaner item back and in the same condition that we loaned it to you.

In summary, the United States Disabled Anglers is a new and upcoming national organization that has derived from one man's dream to unify disabled anglers from coast to coast in order to share with one another both existing and the latest adaptive fishing resources that will help promote the sport of adaptive fishing!
